Adi Kailash Trek

Adi Kailash has a village named ‘Kunti’. This village has been named after the mother of Pandavas, characters from the great heroic Mahabharata. It is a universal faith that the renowned sage, Ved Vyas who wrote Mahabharata lived here for a lengthy time.

The locals living in Adi Kailash are known as Bhotias. The Bhotias have maintained their family heritage throughout all these years and have retained  tradition through food, dance and music shows. You will simply love interacting with these people and hear interesting stories of their land.

The well-known Om Parvat, a wonder of nature, is clearly noticeable at a distance from here. Snow lies on this Om Parvat in the form of a perpetual “OM”, the primordial echo of Hindu prayers.

Om Parvat

Om Parvat is prodigy of nature, here is natural shape of snow ॐ (Aum) in Om Parvat, also written as Aum Om is part of the iconography found in ancient and medieval era manuscripts, temples, monasteries and spiritual retreats in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. We have to reach Nabhidhang to see Om Parvat.

dharchula vehicle stand

As narrated in many Puranas about the Om Parvat. There is a pilgrimage site on almost every mountain here. There is a legend associated with each of the roads, forests and peaks here.

We come across the white (snow) Aum on black background. For visualizing “Aum”, you don’t need any hypothesis, assumption, and imagination. The symbol and icon to mediation connecting human to God, and the Universe chanted at the beginning and finale of all proceedings. It is glorified in the Upanishads as the best and most pious symbol of God. In the vicinity of Om, Parvat lies Parvati Lake and Jonglingkong Lake. Jonglingkong Lake is sacred, as Mansarovar Lake, to the Hindus. Opposite to this peak, there is a mountain known as the Parvati Muhar with a pass with the same name. Hindus feel It lucky to have the bath in these lakes. They believe, doing it is a way to wash out all their sin. It’s not so easy to have a tour to the OM Parvat though, but the devotional power that devotees have for Shiva make all accessible.

Adi Kailash

Adi Kailash is one of the five Kailash, it is a replica of Mount Kailash, Adi kailsh known as chotakailash. In this journey of Adi Kailash, and many famous peaks of Himalayas are seen. Such as 6 Mountains, Pandava Mountains, Brahm Mountains etc. This Jeep tour will follow the route i.e., via Jageshwar, Pithoragarh, Chokori, Patal Bhubaneswar along with Kalapani, Kuti, OM Parvat and Adi Kailash.
